Letter from the President

Hello everyone! My name is Samantha Heeren, and I am the current Chapter President of Alpha Omicron Pi’s Phi Sigma Chapter here at UNK! I am a Political Science and Pre-Law student from Fullerton, Nebraska. Coming from a small town, Greek Life was a foreign concept that I hadn’t ever heard about, and honestly, I would’ve never thought this is where I would be today. While I joined the chapter through a more informal process, continuous bidding, I recognized the values of Alpha Omicron Pi fostered in each of the women I met, and I am honored to be serving as their President today. Being in AOII is a privilege and has served as some of the best years of my life! Already, this chapter has provided me with various leadership skills, service opportunities, and my best friends. I am beyond thankful and proud to be serving the women who continue to support me so profoundly. The women of Alpha Omicron Pi are passionate, loving, strong, dedicated, inspiring, and above all, ambitious! Being in AOII means caring for more than just yourself, and it cannot be replicated! Our members foster a welcoming environment through their ambitious endeavors and the opportunities they are presented with. My chapter and I thank you for taking the time to view our website and learn a little bit more about what this chapter means to all of us! Alpha Omicron Pi is a place where women grow, thrive, and learn from one another. Being in this chapter is beyond fulfilling, and our members, past and present, are grateful for all of the opportunities presented in this organization. I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve such amazing women and to learn and grow with a chapter that has given me so much!
