AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Welcome! My name is Amelia Gocke, and I am the current Chapter President of Phi Sigma, UNK’s chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi. I am an Elementary Education major from Plattsmouth, Nebraska. I would have never guessed I would be in this position today, but I am so grateful and excited to serve my chapter. I never thought I would join a sorority going into college, but I am incredibly thankful and glad I took a chance and went through sorority recruitment. I would not be the woman I am today without Alpha Omicron Pi. Joining AOII has been the privilege of my life, and I cannot imagine my life without AOII! Alpha Omicron Pi has provided me with my lifelong best friends, leadership skills, service opportunities, and the most exciting years of my life. The women in this chapter mean the world to me, and I am honored and proud to serve this chapter as Chapter President. The women in Alpha Omicron Pi are passionate, strong, loving, involved, supportive, and dedicated. They have shaped me into who I am, and the amount of love they provide is extraordinary. My favorite thing about this chapter is how the women are entirely genuine and authentic. They are my biggest supporters and cheerleaders and are undoubtedly the best thing college has brought me. Alpha Omicron Pi allows me to grow, thrive, and learn throughout college. Being in AOII has been fulfilling and cannot be replicated. Our members perfectly inspire ambition within themselves and each other. I am proud to be part of this organization and have the opportunity to lead this chapter. Thank you for taking the time to check out our website and learn more about our chapter.

Alpha Love, Amelia Gocke
