Letter from the President

Welcome! My name is Alexis Stockton, and I am the current Chapter President of the Alpha Omicron Pi at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Coming out of high school, I was very skeptical about joining Greek life; I really did not understand what it was about. No one in my family and none of my friends had ever joined so I had no frame of reference as to what being Greek meant or what it could do for me. However, I am so thankful every day that I did decide to join this community and that I found my home in Alpha Omicron Pi.

Joining AOII has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, from the experiences it has given me, leadership skills I have learned, and friends I have made. I have met women who I know I can rely on and will be friends forever. We are surrounded by women of all kinds and each having a variety of talents, but together we have combined to create an organization that has continued to grow and thrive. Each day I am amazed by the women in my chapter, from their willingness to help one another to their involvement on campus and their leadership within other student organizations. My sisters are the ones who are involved on campus and are always motivating each other to participate in activities on campus.

I cannot imagine what my college experience would have been without AOII. If you are even considering trying out Fraternity and Sorority Life at UNK, I would recommend that you give it a chance and look into the amazing organizations on our campus. Thank you for taking the time to check out our website and learn more about our chapter!

Alpha Love, Alexis Stockton
